I went there thinking I was purchasing CDGs, like their website says. Turns out it's ONLY downloads. They say 'Well you're free to record them' but you can get most karaoke songs for FREE and download them that way, so why purchase (what they claim are) CDGs when it's ONLY downloads? They need to be more clear about that! SO DISAPPOINTED!!! Oh, and if you email them to dispute this, they really talk down at you, as if you're the idiot.

Then they close your account. They are just horrible. There are many other reputable karaoke websites out there. You don't need to use these crooks.
Dear customer, I'm really sorry if our customer service came out as rude, this is absolutely not our point, and we are always trying to make you happy! Please accept my apologies on behalf of the team. We do sell CDGs, and indeed those are downloads, as our headline states: Download it. Our versions are not free and never will be since we record every single track with professional studios and top-grade instruments. You may be able to find cheap-quality or illegal CDGs for free, and if that suits you, it's indeed fine. Now, if you haven't downloaded the tracks you have purchased, we'll happily refund your order:) And if you do want to keep those files and burn them to use them in your karaoke player, that will work great too. Hope that makes more sense.

Only regret is that requested versions of some songs (usually where a version that I don't particularly like is already listed) it seems request is never satisfied. If one version is already made then the song must be popular enough to warrant a different version being made available.
On a few occasions whilst preferring Karaoke Version site, have been forced to purchasing via I-tunes Karaoke, normally cheaper but not given choices like yours. Currently have a few requests in for particular song versions but so far have never had any one of my requests fulfilled. Hence only four stars whereas I would like to have given five. Update: After writing this review I was finally contacted, via email, and I will say that we have resolved the issue more than satisfactorily. All disney channel theme song lyrics. IF this issue had been resolved faster or, at least there had been quicker reply's to my emails, I would have no problems giving 4 1/2 stars (I do not give 5 stars because I believe there is always room for improvement, including my own companies). That being said, I think this site's concept is pretty awesome and I look forward to buying more songs as well as watching their catalogue grow. I believe you will be pleasantly surprised if you try it.
One last thing, for people in the U.S. Just remember they are in France so, that could also be a factor in it taking time answering emails.
Unfortunately I can not give less than 1 star. At first I was thrilled to find this site! Then, 5 months later, after purchasing more and more songs reality set in and the 'honeymoon' was over. My account was shut down and I received this somewhat rude email from them: 'Hello, We were advised that a chargeback occurred during your order KVXXXXXXXX on our website Karaoke Version.
For your consideration, the company that handles this process asked us to provide certain information about your order and your account. Order reference: KVXXXXXXXX Account reference: XXXXXXXXXXX Payment reference: RXX VISA-XXXXXX Payment date: 2018-02-03 04:34:10 IP address: XXX.XX.XXX.XXX Due to these specifics, we had to close your account XXXXXXXXXXXX until we receive more details. Please note that we are investigating this issue, which could result in prosecution.' After spending my own time contacting the CC company I found that the problem was on their side, I never charged anything back.
I even kept buying more songs because I was happy with this site until their ineptness showed through. I have repeatedly sent emails trying to contact them, to no avail (email is the ONLY way to contact the company). Currently I am locked out of my account and not only unable to purchase more songs, I have no access to the songs I have paid for. Unfortunately, it seems I must now look into legal recourse because they have now committed theft. Hello James, Thanks for your honest feedback and I'm really sorry for the turn of events. Let me give you a little bit of background so you understand the situation.
Chargebacks occur when you dispute a charge made on your account. When that happens, not only do we have to refund the money but we are being charged quite a lot for all the paperwork induced (the banks charge for anything as you know), which is why we temporarily lock the account so no other order can be placed until we can work this out. This is a security measure for your own protection to make sure no other potential fraudulent order is placed afterwards. This situation is very unfortunate as you can see, and if you did not dispute the charge, I would advise contacting your local bank to ask them why the charge has been disputed at some point. Rest assured, all that is temporary, and if you send me your customer care ticket number, I'll make sure to follow up with you and let you know as soon as we have been able to settle the case with our payment provider and you bank.
Thanks for your understanding. I first started to download from Karaoke Version On May 8Th 2012 and have amassed just under 400 tracks,I wouldn't even try and go elsewhere because there is no other Company who can compete with the quality and excellence of Karaoke Version,I've been in the music business for over 44 years now so I think I'm well qualified to judge. Karaoke Version Is quite simply the best there is out there from downloads to Musicians to Customer service in my humble opinion Karaoke Version will remain No 1.
